Switch Exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Gets Screenshots and Art of Tetsuya Nomura’s Characters

Today Monolith Soft released another little batch of screenshots and art on Twitter of its upcoming open globe JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

This time round, we all get to see something pretty specific, in the kind of two characters belonging to the Torna organization, the title of that has been changed for reasons unknown, because it is normal in this game: it’so-called Iira from the original Japanese dialogue. Their goal appears to be to capture Pyra.

First of all, we fulfill Shin, Torna’s commander, voiced by Takahiro Sakurai from Japanese. He’s a masked man with a calm demeanor, but he will do everything he can to achieve goals. He appears to hide a secret.

His second in command, Metsu (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura), is a very proficient driver with excellent physical strength and a rough mindset.

The most interesting factor about Shin and Metsu is that they have been made by Tetsuya Nomura, and apparently that they aren’t the only ones in the game bearing the signature of the Director of this Kingdom Hearts series. Nomura-san’s hand is recognizable.

Do keep in mind that we overlook’t have specific info on the american titles of Shin and Metsu, so Nintendo could wind up changing the launch too in those.

If you want to find out more you can even check out more screenshots and a video from yesterday, and another big batch from a couple of days ago. You may also watch a few recent gameplay, also the latest trailer.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch globally only for Nintendo Switch on December 1st.
