Stick Forza Horizon 4 to one side and forget about getting behind the wheel of any of the rally beasts in DiRT. Super Pixel Racers is here and it promises fast paced racing with a nostalgic look!

Available right now on Xbox One and PS4, Super Pixel Racers will set you back just a few quid – £9.99 to be precise – but for that cash you’ll find yourself getting access to a rather wonderful looking little racer. Yes you’ll need to be ready to embrace the retro goodies it brings, but should you be willing to give the pixelated world it brings a shot, should certainly find plenty of joy.

200+ races are held within the world of Super Pixel Racers’ career mode and that really should keep you busy for some time as you move up the ranks, battling it out with AI opponents in order to cross the finish line first and reach the top of the podium.

But whilst that solo aspect is great and all that, Super Pixel Racers will also let you go wheel-to-wheel with others from around the world via online play that caters for up to 8 racers. If you had ever wanted to show your racing skills to a worldwide audience then this lets you do just that.

There is however more, and should you be found grabbing a copy of Super Pixel Racers from the Xbox Store right now, then you’ll also be able to partake in a few split-screen local races with mates. What’s not to like!? Go and purchase a copy right now.
