It looks like the world map of Cyberpunk 2077 may indeed be smaller than The Witcher 3’s.
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red always maintained that the game’s urban setting lends itself really well to denser, busier environments stacked with people to speak to and things to do.
But we never actually saw the map itself. Recently, the deluxe version of The World of Cyberpunk 2077 art book went up for pre-order on Amazon, revealing a Night City map cover, some graffiti and stickers, as well as a Johnny Silverhand poster.
As you might have guessed, this is the first semi-official look at a large part of the map. The image cuts off at the top, so it’s not clear if this is indeed where the world ends, or if it stretches past what can be seen on the cover.
In any case, it’s a bit smaller compared to The Witcher 3’s massive landmass, but it’s worth pointing out that many of these buildings will be accessible. Indeed, this may also be one of several cities in Cyberpunk 2077, which would throw these comparisons out the window.
Until we can get a solid in-game screenshot of the map, this is what we’ll go on. Cyberpunk 2077 launches April 16 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
