Rocket League Goes Free-To-Play On Nintendo Switch Next Week

Psyonix has announced its insanely popular “soccar” game Rocket League will go free-to-play on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch, next week on 23rd September.

When it is finally made available to everyone, it will no longer require users to have a Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to play matches online. Here’s the official cinematic trailer:

As part of this update, there’ll also be revamped tournaments and challenges, the return of the Season 1 Rocket Pass, two new items packs (Endo Starter pack and Jager Pack), and a new in-game event called new in-game event called Llama-Rama…

Psyonix has also rolled out an update today – allowing existing players to link their platforms with their Epic Games Account. These same players will also receive Legacy Status Items.
