It was only a couple of months ago that we saw Sometimes You push Arkan: The dog adventurer out on Xbox One. Now though they are back, with the same game, just fully optimised for Xbox Series X|S.
We quite enjoyed Arkan: The dog adventurer on Xbox One, taken by the hybrid puzzling platform action and tons of content that it delivered. Granted, the control scheme for this brick breaking take wasn’t the best, but it was certainly a game that was worth a look.
But now it’s time for the next-gen players of Arkan to get in on the action, with a fully optimised version of the game now present. Available to purchase and download right now for the same £4.19 price as previous, if you’re wanting some next-gen Arkan, this is it.
Now, obviously it’s disappointing to see that players who forked out for the older version of Arkan need to open the wallet again, and it would have been much preferred to see Sometimes You utilise the power of Smart Delivery to ensure that a second purchase wasn’t needed, but on the flip side, a second game means a second load of easy to grab Xbox achievements, so at least that’s something to consider.
If you’re unaware of what Arkan: The dog adventurer is, then take your standard platformer, mix in some brick breaking ala Arkanoid, and you’re pretty much there. Our full review will cover the rest of the details you need.
Should you be sold, whether that be because you never got round to purchasing Arkan the first time, or because you love it so much that you want to play it optimised for Series X|S, then get over to the Xbox Store right now.
